Question E320 W124: High Idle after ETA Rebuild

I just did a rebuild of my ETA since it was still the original and I had quite a few codes on pin 14. After reinstalling the unit, I am getting a very steady idle speed of ~1500rpm in Park/Neutral, around 900-1000 in Drive/Reverse.

I've taken a few trips around the town so far and the car seems to drive fine, there is no rpm limit and acceleration is good. The cruise control did not seem to be working (it was working fine prior to rebuild) but I was only at 40mph max speed so I don't know if the CC would engage then anyway.

I checked the engine codes and am getting the following:
-DM Code 6
-Pin 8 Code 4
-Pin 8 Code 8
-Pin 14 Code 3

I did a check around the engine and did not see any unplugged vacuum tubes etc... I pulled off the MAF wire and the car started running real rough, so I think it is good. I am fairly confident that the ETA is not the issue. To rebuild I did new heat shrink over the existing wires (instead of splicing in new wires) and I checked the final product against the pin diagrams I found online, and everything matched. The wire harness is a new Delphi model, replaced a few weeks back.

For reference, prior to the rebuild I had the following codes:

-DM Code 5, Code 25
-Pin 8 Code 32
-Pin 14 Code 2, Code 4, Code 7, Code 11

If anyone could give me some input I would really appreciate it. I am concerned about the high idle speeds impacting the engine long term, and am not sure if I am OK to drive like this while I solve the problem.

Thanks!
