Thanks. I just made the decision to farm out the work as part of a package of work to be done by a vintage MB pro. Recently found out that my low oil pressure problem is indeed the main bearings.
I have collected a number of parts for various projects and the guy I found said he would do all of it for a reasonable (to me) price.
BTW just finished having the kingpins redone and new springs installed. I opted for the rough road spec springs. The car handles rough surfaces, dips and curves MUCH better now.
