I took my 2005 CDI 184,000 miles, through a car wash for the first time and upon leaving my ABS, SRS fault messages appeared and the power steering seemed like it was lacking power assist. The car was drivable and common sense dictated that whatever had gotten wet would dry out and hopefully the system would normalize, and it did.

This week, we had pretty heavy rain storms and lots of water on the roads and the same thing occurred.

My question is, has anyone else ever experienced this and what is it that is getting wet causing the faults?
