Uh-oh. Don't do that, non-MB parts, blah, blah, blah. Aftermarket/freeflowing exhausts have been discussed here ad nauseum. As you can guess, the "loudest" posters suggest that MB factory systems are best, they are better made, offer top performance, you can't improve on perfection, etc. I for one don't buy it. I wouldn't replace a perfectly good factory system. However if mine were rotten I would, without hesitation, visit my local custom pipe bender and have a 3" aluminized system with a single 3 chamber Flowmaster "big block" series muffler installed. It will likely flow better, sound better and certainly be cheaper than a factory system. Not much point putting a 20yr system on a $3000 car. RT
