I agree.

My local Zone Service Rep suggests that you change the tranny fluid and filter every 90-100,000 kilometers, which is 55-60K-miles. The fluid a synthetic MB fluid, and you should NOT use anything but. Also, you must set the fluid level when the fluid temp is 80C. Your dealer has a scan device for doing this.

I am surprised you were able to check the fluid level. The 722.6 tranny does not have a dipstick. Did you purchase one?
