I have detected a leak on the schraider(sp?) valve on my 560 sl 1986.
being that it's an R12 system, I'll be losing expensive freon for just changing the valve on both hi and low ports. My question is,
IS it possible to use a 134 A quick connect retrofit tips and use them for r-12 delivery and monitoring(manifold gauge use)?
I know that I need to mark them with big bold letters : COLOR=red]R-12 system!!![/COLOR] But this will make connecting gauges to an r12 system more efficient (Don't you 'all think so?
. I do have both R-12 and 134a gauges. Suggestions are very welcome.
