If the Oil Filter is one of those where the Oil Filter change is done from below and the lower housing is steel if you remover the housing and filter would there be more room?

I am not sure you Oil Cooler Hose Nuts are the same size as the ones on the W123. But, I used a large crowsfoot wrench 1-1/6 of an inch on the hose nuts.

You cause that on a breaker bar or on extensions.
