I witnessed a wreck once as I was walking down the street. The one at fault slowed down as if to pull over and then fled. When this happened the last thing I was thinking about was getting license numbers. I just never expected him to run off and without fighter pilot vision my window of opportunity to get him number was very brief. So he got away.
