2000 230 Kompressor Sedan project

I think I’m ready to give up. I snapped the timing chain 3 years ago. Pulled the engine out and I have a replacement on the hoist ready to go in. I just don’t have the time to install it, bolt everything back together, then go thru everything else to make the car road worthy again. It’s not a lack of money, knowledge, tools or skills. It is a lack of available time.

I could easily be talked out of this and gift it to the right individual to complete the job. I have no desire to part the car out and do not want to junk it. I’m in central CT, if you are interested in taking this on and can tell me an interesting reason or story about why I’d be willing to help you load everything on a trailer.

Car is solid with typical W202 surface rust that is fixable. Glass is good, interior is good, trans is good, will need tires and brakes. Would make an excellent and safe first car for a teen when done.

PM if interested.
