I am wondering if anyone has tried to use resistor type sparkplugs with solid core wire & no resistor ends? OR has anyone tried the type of high performance aftermarket wires that have a solid conductor core wrapped internally in a spiral around a fiberglass center core these type of wires have a relatively low resistance of a few hundred ohms per foot, but are supposed to suppress radio noise (EMI).

On a side note, why is it that the Mercedes ignition systems seem so finicky about the wires? Is it that they produce much more amperage than other systems? The peak voltage does not seem too much higher than others.
