This is a serious problem every where .
I'm glad to see the cops took the time, sad that no one really seems to care until they actually know someone who's been hit .
I'm sure you can find links to Glendale, California where the problem is *so* bad, the cops use officers dressed in bunny and santa claus suits and still they almost get killed time after time, the reason there is socioeconomic and no, they're not those scary, pesky black folks

I only wish the city where I live that is so often ticket happy (means I drive legally and carefully) flat refuses to use the 23 new BMW police Motocycles they bought "for improved safety" to set up and nail the asshats who every day by the dozens, run the stop light near the freeway on ramp, two blocks from a high school .
Talk about low hanging fruit but they won't do it no matter how much the citizens complain .
