Another potential ailment
for the Doc's diagnoses:-
At cold starts, the motor seems to rumble SLOOOOWLY to life, a sort of stuttering/chugging routine for the first couple of minutes before it gradually smooths out. Once at operating temp.(87C), the engine is sweet sounding and as smooth as any 22-yr veteran could be.
This is an M110 280SE with Bosch K-Jetronic injection. Shouldn't the engine automatically rev-up sufficiently for the first few minutes on cold starts and gradually taper off to about 800rpms at/near operating temps?
