There were two keys, one did everything the other was a valet key for the door and ignition only. If the ignition lock cylinder and the doors locks are original, you should be able to get a key cut (special order) at a dealer using your VIN along with proof of ownership. The valet key isn't useful unless you're seeking originality. They probably still have the records to make the key and they work quite well.
If the doors are different than the ignition, the ignition lock cylinder was probably replaced. You could then order an ignition cylinder with a key coded by the VIN.
