Ok, it appears I have a 722.6 - when you say "much cheaper" - what kind of price are you talking? $1000 or $10000. much cheaper means different things to different people.

Look up the cost of a conductor plate replacement (the most common failure point in your situation) on a 722.6 and a 722.9. the TCM on the 722.9 is built into the conductor plate and coded to the car. Only a handful of shops are even allowed to buy the part. The 722.6 conductor plate is $60 on Amazon. But again, without reading codes we have no idea what's going on. If you have an 06 with SBC brakes, get the foxwell scan tool. It can deactivate and bleed SBC. Far more useful than the icarsoft.
