When I was a (young) aircraft mechanic certain jobs were just easier if you could position the scaffolding so you could lie down - I guess a convenient "table bed" would be nice if you have the space. You could even stick it on lockable castors to move it about...

...in Holland in the last few years they've been selling mini lifts that raise the car off the wheels by about 3 foot may be - the idea is to be able to clean and detail the lower parts at a more convenient ergonomic height. Mighty Car Mods on youtube use one quite a bit cos they haven't got a 4 post lift.
