Diesel_shep,

I would suggest going into the archives using 240d where you will find lots of advice for the common ailments, vac leaks, glow plug light wont come on, water leaks into trunk, car explodes for no reason, just kidding. I think I had allot of the common problems with my cars and was able to deal with them with help from this group. Have the valves been adjusted? If your priming pump leaks, replace it, also check the rubber fuel lines on the driver side in the engine rm. Mine were leaking and ruined the motor mount. Also the one coming out of the fuel tank leaked. If the T chain has never been replaced it could be ready. Easy to check when adjusting valves. If more than 4 or 5 degrees change it. There are lots of things to keep an eye out for but they are great cars and worth the trouble when you get em fixed up. Enjoy
