I am still trying to find an engine shock for this 1981 TD wagon. The left shock is no longer manufactured, there is not any service instruction from Mercedes on fitting anything else. Dead end. I have searched and had the experts search for the part literally around the globe. So far I haven't located the part through aftermarket avenues. The part number is 123 240 18 48. If anyone knows of a 1981 TD wagon (that year only) being parted out, or of an aftermarket dealer with the part on the shelf I would really appreciate a heads up.
