Install a heat pump. You want to be comforatable and the price of operation is really nominal. At high thirties and low forties you do need some heat. You will sleep a lot better at night in the hotter summer as well with at least some moderate air conditioning from it

As a prompt you cannot take any money where you are going eventually anyways. Plus you do require more heat usually as you age.
