I consumed every sci-fi book I could find and subscribed to Science Ficton Analog as a teen in the sixties till I went in the Navy. Then it became Louis Lamour and really gross porno. I got tired of that and started reading history and philosophy my last two years in. For the next thirty I pretty much stayed exclusively in science literature — very esoteric. Retirement has brought me back to more eclectic reading. Read a lot of books about vegetable row crop farming and livestock raising.

I got in the habit in college to discipline myself to read something at least one hour every evening before bed.

Mrs B and I don’t have a teeveee. Amazing how much time I have now and how much better I sleep.
