Find a known good combination switch, drop the knee bolster and try it before you need to pull the steering wheel to do a full install. Remember the wagon switch is different from the other models.

Also check and clean the ground behind the spare wheel panel.

There is also a chance of damage to the harness as it routes up to the rear light.
