Good day.

I suspect my 1995 E300D suffered some engine damage due to overheating when it threw the accessory v-belt in the middle of peak-hour traffic.

We briefly restarted the engine the next day, the engine lopes and there is a knock so we suspect there is some damage.

Other than a few other minor fixes, ie: left rear window may need a new regulator, sunroof switch, some upholstery wear-and-tear and a spray job, it's been a very reliable and comfortable daily runner with ~250k on the clock.

It has brand new Michelin tyres and the front suspension has been overhauled about 2 years ago: new lower swing arms and struts, etc.
