Speednjay,
Good suggestion, unfortunately FL sun and open top highway driving had long ago cause my vanity flaps to fly away on some lonely stretch of highway, somewhere.

The rattle is noticeable only when going over bumps and comes from the area between the latch handles in the headrail. The parts diagrams dont
Indicate any parts between them as the handles are self contained independent units, so I'm miffed at what it could be. It is definitely metalic, and of some substance.

Does anyone know if there is a rollover sensor switch there? How about a harmonic balancer? Sounds like an odd place, but I have seen them used before in convertibles.

Would like to get some opinions before having to explore around a lot of brittle plastic trim.

TIA
