had a mechanic manually move kickdown rod said transmission not good. also accelerates up to 60 mph then surges. any ideas where to start diagnose? solex4a1 carb secondaries will not open . will this effect the shifting? any idea how to remove and replace transmission ? cant find a manual on transmission for 76 Mercedes 280c 114073 chassis
