I did pick this up at a garage sale. There were some other parts I didn't recognize since they were not Mercedes. But I did see a set of rather rusted out 108 license plate lights. I bought the box not because the chrome light holders were any good but because the plastic lenses were in perfect shape.

This looked like a box someone had put up many years ago, like they were parts off of a car they were working on. The gas cap was in the box along with some head bolts and rocker arms springs that looked like they came from a 111.

This looks like it will be one of those long projects to play with. I am going to disassemble the cap and clean everything inside. It comes apart with a large snap ring on the bottom.
