Keep blowing starter fuses after brake pad change

2005 CDI. I changed the rear pads, disabling SBC and then re-enabling it. Once done, I turn and click on starter. The 20A F59 fuse keeps blowing. I replaced the starter about 2 months ago and it has been fine since. The car worked fine before the pad change today. I checked the wires on the starter and they are good and secure. Open to ideas as I am running out of them.
