I tink the biggest hitch will be the injectors. I don't think you can fit the .96x injectors in the .97x prechambers and I don't think you can run .97x injectors with a .96x pump.
There are other things to consider such as whether a .96x engine will run properly with a .97x cam.
I'm not sure if afterglow is all it's cut out to be considering that it shortens the life of glow plugs and glow plugs are a bunch of work to replace on a turbo 603.
