I need a new ignition switch for a 2009 E Class. I have learned from several sources that MB dealers are not allowed to sell an ignition switch to a customer and further, a new switch must be installed by a MB dealer. MB list price is $540. This switch is an important item in the MB anti-car-theft program. Where were you able to purchase an ignition switch?
