MB's on ebay

I know ebay is a host for scammers, but there are exceptions.
I was suprised to see a 300d w/110k in great shape with
6 hours left and the current bid $1,425, the clean engine
makes the stated mileage possible.

Also a 82' 240 4spd in Md, claimed to be very driveable
and no opening bids at $500 for three days now.(2414107579)
In Chicago a 78' 300cd with $30k in reciepts in great shape
for $2,300. (2413840360) These are nonturbo models
and don't appeal to everybody. It looks like I may have to
sell my 82' 300Sd if the sale goes through on 2413720926.
With a new trans, 1k in new parts well over $4,000 invested
(one year) I would expect to get half that on ebay after
checking out deals like the ones mentioned. I guess
$1,000 for a good looking SD that needs a trans is was
not the best buy on a MB Diesel.
