yes i've seen the idea here on the board, i thought it was gonna be harder than it was so i put it off for a while, it was reletively easy tho. .

the chrome part was vinyl door guards. or chome plated vinyl strips. so it was flexible and easy to work with. the bottom where the loop meets are a lil tricky to do tho. but because the way it is tilted in the dash if you hide it towards the lower corner you can't really see it.

when i took the piece out there was a buch of corrosion falling out from the potientometer (sp?) so i cleaned it and it is actually brighter now.

but for $2.50 i think it was worth the time. which reminds me i need to get my brakes in shape too.

ps. i just notice my odo says 188888
