Yeah.. I took the tray out on the passenger side.. The basslink is mounted right below it.. It does a decent job.. It's truly amazing just how much bass is contained by the trunk.. I may take the other tray out too.. Just to see if it makes any more difference..
I listened with the lid opened, and then closed on the side that I removed the tray, and I could not tell any difference.. I thought about mounting the basslink in the rear deck.. Looks like it would fit.. Bet that would pump out some good bass then....
