I can help with some of your questions:

-The sunroof motor is located on the left-hand forward side of the trunk as you look inside

-The sunroof can be closed and opened manually. If you look on the above mentioned location, you should see a cap. Pry the cap off and underneath a bolt. There is a tool that fits this, if I recalled correctly in your tool kit that came with the car (or use a regular socket etc) It will allow you to move the roof panel by hand.
