Ther isn't a lock in the front of the roof. Have you got the slide and tilt sunroof or just slide version?

On the slide/til version the only this that locks the sunroof to closed position is the angles themself. They are supposed to be pulled back with the cable. When pulled they lenghten and the rear of the sunroof "falls" down. This should be done at the same time at both sides.

There is only one cable that do all the work. If this is broken, you cannot open the sunroof with a hexagon socket as described in the users manual. As Haasman stated, you don't need a special tool to open it manually.
