Like leathermang stated, I would check to make sure it's not your heatshields for the exhaust. I had a terrible rattle on my 500SEL and found out that the heatshield for the cat convertor was only being held on by 1 of the 2 rivets that hold it in place.

It was very embarrassing to say the least. Here you are sitting at a redlight in a nice MB vehicle and the car is rattling like some ghetto cruiser. Good thing I had the dark sunglasses.
