Interesting idea. I was wondering where the collant level sensor was on this one. My 300SDL was saved by the coolant light last fall. I saw that light blink on - miraculously - and glanced up at the temp gauge which was headng in the wrong direction. I pulled over immediately - the engine bay was full of steam. Way better than full of stinky smoke.
