here is what I found..

I put the master link at the dealer for free. When I got the lower timing cover out, I found out that the timing chain sets in the back of the oil pump chain that will have to be removed first. That means the oil pan must come off. I have a problem now. I will need to buy an engine hoist to raise the engine up so I can pull the pan out. My cylinderhead is off at the machine shop and I can't figure out how to raise the engine. I can't use a floor jack because there is no place under the engine to raise it up. I guess I will have to put the head on first and use the mounting ears at both ends of the head. I noticed the oil pump chain has some wear and I will replace it along with a new chain guide.
