I'm looking for advice on getting more power out of my 1990 300E. I've upgraded the wheels to AMG monoblock 17" (the slightly rougher ride doesn't bother me and I love the look), blacked out the bottom half of the car for a nice monotone look, and have done a lot of custom work with the stereo/video/multimedia system. Now it's time to make the car faster...what are my options? I was told that a cat -back exhaust will give me the best bang for the buck (over a remus exhaust) If I can get it up over 200hp I'd be happy...250 and I'd be ecstatic. I admittedly don't know much about engine and drivetrain work so forgive my ignorance...all I know is I want my "E30 AMG" (soon to be badged that way) to get up and go a little faster than your typical 300E, which are a dime a dozen around here (do these people EVER clean their alloys??!!) Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
