I know the transmissions are practically bulletproof and it probably is the conductor plate or electrical connector not doing its job since the miles are pretty low so it's not high mileage wear and tear. Anyone on here that's much more familiar with the 722.6 failing want to give me some insight?
Sounds like the shifter has failed, confirmed when the gauges dont show any indication of the gear select position at all, this is a classic tell tale sign of the failed shifter (drink spillage) - its not a surefire way because you need to attach a scope to see if the shifter is actually on the network. In some cases you will experience the transmission bump hard when the shifter is moved.
