The headlight glass comes as a one-piece unit with the reflector. The lens (glass) is bonded to the reflector (plastic). I think what Ernest did was separate the lens from the plastic, and glue the replacement glass to the original reflector.

The headlamp unit (lens plus reflector) is about $65 dollars in partshop.

p.s. You really have to shove hard to get the blinker clip to reinstall.
p.p.s. Be careful around old plastic, it gets brittle, and likes to break.
