The onset of KE-Jet on v8s came in 1986 for US models (probably 85 in some euros).
The fuel distributors are fairly universal, take for example the fuel dist for a 79 450 and a 6.9 are the same. What is different is the airflow meter and control circuits.
A K-Jet w/lambda or KE distributor will need the control unit and harness.
