You have to loosen (not remove) the bolt just under the water pump, which belongs to the belt tensioner I believe its a 14mm and is kind of hard to spot. Then you can turn the adjuster bolt on top (gold looking tube bolt). Note the tension on the belt before loosening. This should allow you enough slack to remove the compressor.
