Right you are. Sorry, I've only had the cover off once since I got the car three months ago, and thought there may have been a bleeder.
Looking at the set-up, with the hose connected to the overflow container, I believe any airlock could correct itself, after 2 or 3 heat/coool cycles.
Promise, I won't send you on a wild goose chase again.
