Have a 190D 2.5 Turbo diesel(1987). Just bought it. When it warms up the shifts into 3rd and 4th are balky and hesitate. If I let off of the accelerator it will shift into 4th. Haven't checked the fluid for level or smell. Would a transmission "service" help? TIA
