1).Remove instrument cluster.
2) two large bolt heads will be right in front of you at bottom of instr. cluster dash "hole", securing the steering column. Loosen them substantially, but don't remove them.
3) steering column can drop a little and access to the bolt and nut, holding the clamp, is improved.
