Well....if you don't know when it was done last time then go ahead and to it ASAP.
Mine (81SD), with very close to 200,000 miles, sprung a leak around the pulley shaft bearing/seals and was replaced with a rebuilt unit.
Also had to replace the pulley.
I'm guessing it was not on the regular maintenance list.
