Back around 1980, when I was still driving my '61 180b, I used to occasionally go to American Sevice Center, the local Northern Virgina Mercedes dealer, for parts. On one of those trips I seem to recall seeing one of these W123 convertible conversions on the showroom floor. I don't remember the price, although the cheapest Mercedes 240D at the time was around $20,000!
