Well, I had the car back to the dealer today. They called Mercedes Assistance for help. The upshot was that they determined the felt channel for the window was binding a little near the top. They trimmed some of the backing to relieve the pinch and that appears to have fixed it. I'll report back in a week whether or not it did.
