I know where you are coming from, BUT the phone in my car has never worked. Aparently the first owner had a digital phone installed and the installers simply disconnected the factory phone.
Now if I had a low mileage S600 I would fix the phone to keep it original, but my S320 with 168k miles is a workhorse and no one is going to enjoy this car after me since I am going to drive it 'till the wheels fall off.
So my main objective is to have a functional vehicle. I am assuming that the factory phone has all the wires behind it that lead to the mike for handsfree operation and the speakers, so I would like to get the inop factory phone out of the way to get a digital phone wired in. I am using 3000 minutes on my phone every month and I like to be comfortable in the car.
So I understand that you guys are all sentimental about riping out a factory option, but please share the wealth, HOW DOES THE DARN THING COME OUT?
