When I worked at Boeing, there was a rumor that the Chinese bought a 737 and tryed to dismantle and copy it so they wouldn't have to buy them like everyone else has to.

They couldn't figure out how the damned thing went together with all the parts in front of them???

Today they still buy them from Boeing or Airbus.

Gives a new slant on saying "Oh well, back to the drawing boards".
