Just a side point

You did not note if it is the original OE ant -- the replacement that MB now sells will not function like the old unit -- so the switch function will not be as original.

If you still have the original ant this is not the case.

One word of caution if you remove the ant make sure to replace the fender gromet-- it is about $2.50 from MB.

Water will run down the outside of the shaft and will end up in the unit -- it has a gasket but it will allow water to enter. The ant is very complex and very $$ to fix.
