I had my car at the mechanic for head work over the winter, and he sent the head out to another shop for resurfacing. When they were putting it back together the valve seals were installed improperly. I drove the car like this for about 3,000 miles. I noticed it was using a lot of oil and runnung very rough so I took it back to the mechanic. He fixed the valve seals, put in new plugs, and cleaned the fuel system no charge to me. My question is since it was leaking oil all over, it possible that oil got into the catalytic converter and damaged it? I've experienced acceleration problems since then and posted a previous message concerning that. Some of the answers I've seen have mentioned a clogged cat? Anything to it?
